LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears selected San Diego State lineman Zachary Thomas, Baylor running back Trestan Ebner and Illinois center Doug Kramer in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
The Bears took Thomas at 186th overall. He was a first-team all-Mountain West selection last season, playing in 13 games (starting 12) at left tackle. While Thomas primarily played tackle with the Aztecs, he could project as a guard for the Bears.
The Bears' selection of Thomas at No. 186 overall was the team's second addition of an offensive lineman in this draft. Chicago also chose Southern Utah tackle Braxton Jones in the fifth round.
Ebner, the No. 203 overall pick, had nine rushing touchdowns and 11 receiving touchdowns over five seasons at Baylor. He also played a key role in the Bears' return game during his time in college.
The No. 207 overall pick, Kramer is a Hinsdale Center product who was a second-team all-Big Ten selection by the conference's coaches last season. He played in 39 games over five seasons with the Fighting Illini.
