The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum is kicking off the public phase of its renovation campaign.

It's called the Timeless Values -- Modern Experience Campaign .
Thursday night, attendees got to see a number of past and proposed museum designs on display.
Former Iowa Governor and Ambassador to China Terry Branstad and PBS's Margaret Hoover were the keynote speakers as co-chairs of the campaign.
"So we're very, we're just over the moon excited for the opportunity to gather here in eastern Iowa to have this kick-off launch event," Trustee Of The Hoover Presidential Foundation Margaret Hoover said. "I am elated! I just spoke to somebody in the audience and they said, "if a single Iowan tells me 'they didn't know there was a presidential library in Iowa,' I will kick them."

Before going public, the campaign had already reached over 20% of its $20 million goal.
