Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures—23101 Hwy. 242, New Caney—is set to open all attractions to the public April 30 following a delay due to staffing and supply chain shortages, officials said in April 27 Facebook announcement.

According to Monty Galland, Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventure CEO, the seasonal opening will also mark the debut of the park’s newest attraction, Big Rivers Fairgrounds, which will feature 11 amusement park rides, including a spinning rollercoaster, a rocking pirate ship, a 360-degree spinning pendulum and several attractions for children.

“This weekend, we’re going to have weather in the 80’s, so it’s going to be hot, and there’s no better place to cool down than Big Rivers Waterpark,” Galland said in a statement.

Officials noted the new rides will add to the variety of attractions already available at the park, including water slides, a wave pool, rock climbing, a forest maze, ax throwing, a concert venue and a large aquatic obstacle course.

Admission to the park is $44.99 at the gate or $39.99 online, officials said, with season passes running at $79.99. For additional information, visit https://bigriverswaterpark.com or call 832-509-1556.
