Amazon Prime Video's new Hindi content: Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi set for digital debut

At a star-studded event, Amazon Prime Video, which is doubling down on its India, unveiled its full slate of content for the next few years. And not surprisingly, Hindi took the bulk of it. And it includes both films and web series. 

The highlights of the list include the digital debut of big stars like Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, arrival of Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi in Hindi. Its series would see the likes of Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Juhi Chawla, Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee, and it would stream films that have stars like Madhuri Dixit 

Gaurav Gandhi, Country Manager for Amazon Prime Video India, said the service’s focus on original content in multiple local languages has super-served local people over the past five years.
