Kate, Naomi, Bella And Gigi Join Edward Enninful At The Prince’s Trust Global Gala In New York
The supers were out in force in New York last night to join British Vogue editor-in-chief and European editorial director Edward Enninful at the Prince’s Trust Global Gala. Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, the Hadid sisters, Karlie Kloss and Adut Akech were among the guests at Cipriani, where Enninful – a global ambassador for the Prince’s Trust – and Lionel Richie co-hosted a party to celebrate the beginning of the charity’s work in the US.
The Prince’s Trust was founded by the Prince of Wales – who has previously appeared in the pages of British Vogue – in 1976 to tackle youth unemployment, and has helped more than one million young people in more than 20 countries into employment and enterprise in the years since. Young people who have benefited from the Trust’s support attended the benefit, alongside guests from the worlds of fashion, entertainment and business.
“The event celebrates the many young people on Prince’s Trust programmes around the world who are working to build a better future,” Enninful said. “Since becoming a global ambassador, it has been wonderful to see the Trust extend its reach internationally, and support even more young people from such diverse backgrounds.”
Enninful’s co-host Richie, who performed to a crowd that included Paloma Elsesser, Stella Maxwell, Imaan Hammam, Lily James, Phoebe Dynevor, Grace Coddington and Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci, told guests: “We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our ambition to help more young people here in the United States realise their dreams, and I am proud to be part of this vital work.”
In the more than 40 years since it was established, the Trust has had a hand in helping several young people who have gone on to have high-profile careers, among them David Oyelowo and Idris Elba, whose wife Sabrina Elba attended in Loewe’s spring/summer 2022 breastplate dress.
