The body of an 88-year-old fisherman has been found in Galveston Bay where the search for W.F. Childress had been going on for more than 24 hours.
The Chambers County Sheriff's Office says Chiildress put in his 16-foot aluminium trawling rig to do some shrimping. The capsized boat was found first and Childress's body was found about ten miles away.
Childress, who spent his life on the waters around Galveston, was a well-known figure along the Gulf as the owner of Childress Seafood, a wholesaler based in Anahuac.
