Jesse Spencer returning to Chicago Fire in season 10 finale

Time for a Chicago Fire wedding!

He couldn't stay away for long.

EW has confirmed that Chicago Fire vet Jesse Spencer is returning in the upcoming season 10 finale.

Spencer exited the show last season during the series' 200th episode when his character, Casey, made a tough decision. After a lot of thought, Casey decided to relocate to Oregon in order to care for the sons of his late friend Andy Darden (Corey Sorenson). In doing so, Casey left behind his girlfriend, Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), who has spent much of season 10 missing him.

In recent episodes, Brett has actually been missing from the firehouse because she's been on a trip to visit Casey in Oregon. And now, fans can stop wondering if we're only going to hear about Casey from here on out, because he's coming back!

Specifically, he's coming back to be Severide's (Taylor Kinney) best man in his wedding, which will take place during the season 10 finale. But don't expect everything to go smoothly.

Co-showrunner Derek Haas told Variety, "The wedding is not going to go as planned. Plus, there'll be at least one surprise guest at the wedding besides Jesse. It became a matter of how many people could we get in one day availability-wise, so we put together a wish list."

The season 10 finale will air Wednesday, May 25.
