CINCINNATI (WKRC) - He is undoubtedly the Hit King but there's a lot of material in which to roast Pete Rose, and that's exactly what will happen at the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati.
"Pete Rose, Roasting a Legend" will be held on June 11.
Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman will serve as master of ceremonies. George Foster and Ken Griffey, Sr. are part of the guest list.
VIP tables are $2,000 each.
General admission will start at $90, according to the casino. Tickets available online appear to start at $125.
Three memorabilia packages with limited quantities will be offered and include:
- Base Hit Package: Pete Rose autographed baseball and autographed 8x10 photo of Pete Rose, $199
- Home Run Package: Pete Rose autographed bat and autographed 8x10 photo of Pete Rose, $249
- Grand Slam Package: Pete Rose autographed jersey and 8x10 photo of Pete Rose, $299
Rose, who was NL MVP in 1973 and World Series MVP in 1975, played 19 seasons with the Reds. He was a 17-time All-Star at five positions and still owns the record for most career hits in MLB history with 4,256.
