...Country Radio Broadcasters announces the 2022-2023 CRS Agenda Committee, which includes iHeartMedia’s Alek Halverson, Cumulus Media Nashville’s Krista Hayes, Cox Media Group’s Ashley Morrison, Audacy’s Nick Steel, Beasley Media Group’s Nicole Michalik and Hubbard Broadcasting’s Jesse Tack. “We're thrilled with this year's diverse group of professionals from all corners of the country music industry,” Chairman Joey Tack said in a release. “I'm confident this superb team will meet the challenge and continue building on the last 53 years of CRS excellence.”

...Nationally syndicated conservative talk show host Mark Levin has reinstated his Twitter account following the announcement that Elon Musk’s $44 billion purchase of the social media platform has been accepted. “Thanks to new ownership, I’ve decided to come back,” Levin posted on Twitter late Monday afternoon (April 25). The New York Post notes that Fox News host Tucker Carlson has also rejoined the social media platform.

...Chicago radio legend John Records Landecker is among the 2022 inductees into the Hall of Fame of the Illinois Rock and Roll Museum on Route 66, according to Chicago media reporter Robert Feder. Landecker, who currently hosts evenings on Nexstar Media talk WGN (720), joins Audacy adult alternative WXRT (93.1), Styx, Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, Dan Fogelberg, The New Colony Six, Jim Peterik, Dennis DeYoung and Mercury Records in the Class of 2022.

...SuiteRadio will debut a new syndicated afternoon drive show, “The Rowdy Ride Home,” on May 2. Nationally syndicated radio personality Rowdy Yates of “The Original Country Gold” will host the five-hour afternoon drive show Monday-Saturday. “This show has been specifically designed and built for afternoon drive,” Yates said in a release. “What you will find is topical, relatable, off-beat, irreverent and hopefully funny.” The show will soft-launch on five signals in Texas, New Mexico, Missouri and Oklahoma. “The Rowdy Ride Home” will be available everywhere on May 16. Stations can program the plug-and-play, content-only version to fit individual music formats or choose current or classic country formats.

...Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI7) met with Michigan broadcasters last week at the Michigan Association of Broadcasters offices in Lansing. During his visit, Rep. Walberg presented former MAB President Karole White with a commendation that will be placed in the Congressional record. White served as President/CEO of the MAB for more than 36 years. “Karole has dedicated her career to organizations that have bettered Michigan communities and businesses. Under her leadership, MAB grew from a group with minimal resources to one of the most respected and robust trade associations in the state,” Walberg said in his address. “Karole's leadership helped the MAB integrate into all areas of the broadcasting industry. Her advocacy extended from the smallest high school newsrooms to the largest radio stations in the state. Currently, nearly 90 percent of individuals, companies, and organizations affiliated with broadcasting in Michigan have joined the MAB.”
