Two women were arrested after a traffic stop of a reportedly stolen vehicle in Carroll County.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said a truck matching the description of a stolen vehicle in Grayson County was spotted in the area of Cliffview Road and Fries Road on April 19.
The deputy checked the vehicle's information, confirmed it was the truck reported stolen, and began a traffic stop.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the driver and a passenger were detained, read their Miranda rights and provided statements.
The driver, identified as Lesia Mae Park, a 54-year-old from Galax, was charged with two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle out of Carroll and Grayson Counties.
The passenger, Lois Heather Rector, a 46-year-old from Galax, claimed to have no knowledge of the vehicle being stolen.
Rector consented to a search where deputies discovered she was in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, the Sheriff's Office said.
She was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
Both are being held on $2,000 bonds.
