Tim Tebow spoke at Oklahoma State University at the Gallagher-Iba arena on April 19, 2022.
Tebow is a former NCAA, NFL, MLB, football analyst and current public speaker who is passionate about everything that he does.
The event was hosted by the OSU speakers board who always try to have some sort of speaker each semester to help the students keep motivated, especially with finals coming up pretty soon.
Tebow mentioned some of his childhood memories with his father and family. He has always had a special connection with his father who he credits as one of his biggest inspirations.
Tebow was speaking about his years during college and his journey through the NFL. He spoke about the one game that is known for being one most difficult he has ever played against the New York Jets.
Many of the students said they were excited to be able to have such a popular and powerful figure speak to them in the arena.
Tebow shared an opportunity where he was offered about $1 million dollars to speak while he was a member of the New England Patriots. He shared how called his agent and he called head coach Bill Belichick.
Tebow stated how Belichick had asked him to not take up the offer. Ultimately, Tebow would be cut from the Patriots as they already had their guy at quarterback being NFL star Tom Brady.
Some students were excited to see him speak as they were anxiously waiting for his presence.
“Tebow coming to OSU was quite a dream,” said Carter Smith, student at OSU, “We all loved when he beat OU in the 2008 National title game.”
Tebow had also mentioned how he has always credited his faith in his performances and his accomplishments. He believes that the power of Christ has powered him throughout his entire life.
Despite not having the career he had hoped for in football and baseball, Tebow was still able to have success being a speaker and talking about his faith
