Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson eschewed the red carpet for a much more private night out while supporting the comedian's friend Jon Stewart.

This past weekend, the couple was in the audience at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center as Stewart accepted the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Though they didn't walk the red carpet prior to the ceremony, the two were photographed sitting closely together, with the SKIMS mogul in a sparkling black outfit and the Saturday Night Live star in a matching black T-shirt and blazer.

During the ceremony, Davidson—whom Stewart referred to as one of his "favorite people"—went onstage and said, "The most controversial thing [Stewart's] done is be friends with me," per Entertainment Tonight.

Kardashian and Davidson were last seen on a public outing together during the premiere of Hulu's The Kardashians.

Kardashian previously opened up about finding happiness in her relationship with Davidson during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I encourage my friends and the people I love to be happy, and I went for it. I was like, you know what, I'm in my 40s, fuck it," she said. "Just go for it. Find your happiness. I went for it. And I took my time and I found it, and it feels so good. And I want to hold onto that forever."

She elaborated in an interview with Good Morning America. "I wouldn't be with someone if I didn't plan on spending a lot of my time with them," she said. "Obviously, I wanna take my time, but I'm very happy and very content, and it's such a good feeling just to be at peace."
