SAGINAW, MI — A career upswing and a nearly sold-out performance will result in stand-up comedian Tom Segura appearing twice at Saginaw’s Temple Theatre this summer.
Organizers added a second date to Segura’s visit: 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the downtown venue.
Thor Rasmussen, the marketing and creativity manager for the Temple Theatre, said Segura’s earlier-scheduled performance set for Tuesday, Aug. 9, sold most of its seats within the first two weeks tickets were available. The high demand led organizers to squeeze in the extra appearance.
“He’s becoming more and more popular,” Rasmussen said of Segura. “We think, after this tour, it might be mostly stadium performances for him. We are fortunate he’s coming to Saginaw now.”
Tickets for both shows — part of Segura’s “I’m Coming Everywhere” tour — range from $48 to $150 and are available on the Temple Theatre website.
Segura fans know the comedian from Netflix specials such as “Ball Hog,” “Disgraceful,” “Mostly Stories,” and “Completely Normal.”
He also co-hosts the hit podcasts, “Your Mom’s House” as well as “2 Bears 1 Cave.”
Segura’s TV appearances include “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Conan,” “Workaholics,” and “Happy Endings.”
