Cary Elwes cracked a “Princess Bride” joke Monday to let fans know he is “recovering well” from a rattlesnake bite on his finger.

“Bit not by a ROUS but a rattlesnake,” Elwes tweeted, referencing the 1987 film’s “rodents of unusual size” that his character encounters. “Grateful to the staff of Malibu Urgent Care, LA County Fire Dept. and the staff and medical professionals at @UCLAHealth for their great care. Am recovering well thanks to all these wonderful folks. 🙏.”

Elwes, 59, also included a gnarly photo of his finger after the bite.

“YIKES!!! Glad to hear you’re recovering well, Cary. It will take me awhile to recover from that phone [sic] alone.😵‍💫,” Mark Hamill responded.

“Holy s–t! Rest up and feel better, man!” Jon Cryer wrote.

“Oh no Cary! Get well soon,” CNN correspondent Jim Acosta added.

Elwes’ “Stranger Things” co-star Randy Havens also chimed in, writing, “Oh my gosh Cary! Please feel better! Sending healing thoughts your way.”

The “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” star was nipped at his Malibu home and had to be airlifted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, TMZ reported. He was said to have required rapid medical attention — and others around him feared it was a life-threatening attack.

Elwes previously revealed in a 2014 Reddit AMA that his “Princess Bride” co-star André the Giant had convinced him to ride an ATV and he ended up breaking his toe.

“It was three weeks before we were due to film the sword fight scene, and so I hadn’t fully healed by the time they shot that,” he said of his infamous scene with Inigo Montoya (played by Mandy Patinkin).
