Real Madrid center midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has already been proven to be quite the signing. When Los Blancos agreed to purchase him from Rennes this past summer after the Frenchman turned down more money from Ligue 1 rivals PSG, Madridistas were already excited and felt that Camavinga was a bargain at 30 million euros.

Now, the 19-year-old looks like an even bigger steal after his incredible big-game performances, namely his work in the decisive second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu against Chelsea in the Champions League quarterfinals.

As Camavinga gears up for another big game in the Champions League against Manchester City in the semifinals, let’s see where he ranks among the top five midfielders under the age of 21.

5. Bayern Munich AM Jamal Musiala

Though Jamal Muisala has played in an 8 role this season for Bayern Munich due to injuries to other players, it’s obvious that Musiala is more of an attacking player and a playmaker than a true midfielder. But he still merits consideration on a list of the best midfielders and is absolutely one of the most exciting talents around.

You wonder if Musiala could be even further ahead in his development if he didn’t play on a Bayern team rich with attacking talent, boasting world-class players like Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, and potential Real Madrid transfer target Serge Gnabry. Perhaps Musiala can be a Madrid target one day.

This season, Musiala has five goals and five assists despite not being a full-time starter for Die Roten. His technical quality and intelligence off the ball are stunning for such a young player. The 19-year-old is certainly not lacking in end product.
