Kristen Bell: Dax Shepard is ‘the best there ever was’

Kristen Bell is still infatuated with Dax Shepard after nearly 15 years together.

“Oh, he’s the best. He’s the best there ever was, 100 percent,” the “Frozen” star enthused to Page Six exclusively Sunday at the opening night of “Funny Girl” on Broadway.

That said, Bell went stag to the Beanie Feldstein-led revival of the 1964 musical.

“He’s sitting in the hotel room because he doesn’t like crowds,” she told us, calling her husband “number one.”

The couple started dating in late 2007 and married in October 2013. They share two daughters: 9-year-old Lincoln and 7-year-old Delta.

Bell, 41, and Shepard, 47, are no strangers to letting fans in on their relationship. She even shared in October 2021 that he sucked out her clogged breast milk duct as she battled mastitis, an infection that develops in breast tissue.

The pair have also been candid about the “Parenthood” alum’s sobriety. Shepard revealed on his podcast, “Armchair Expert,” in 2020 that he had relapsed after 16 years of being clean.

Bell later appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and said, “The thing I love most about Dax is … he was able to tell me and tell us and say, ‘We need a different plan.’

“One of the main reasons I love him is he’s also addicted to growth,” she added. “He’s addicted to evolving.”

Bell returned to Broadway for a night Sunday after launching her career in the musical “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” while studying at NYU.

While she told us the “urge to come back is strong at all times,” the former “Veronica Mars” star explained, “Having two kids prevents me in my current life.”

Fortunately, Bell has found plenty of success elsewhere, including as Anna in “Frozen.” She admittedly still has not wrapped her head around the enormity of the Disney franchise’s legacy.

“It’s hard to picture it like that because I try very hard to stay present in the moment, but when I see how it affects people, little girls, little boys, adults, when I see them affected them in the moment, it’s wonderful,” she said. “But it’s hard for me to picture it as some kind of legacy. It’s too profound a thought.”

Anna Wintour, Darren Criss, Ansel Elgort and Camryn Manheim were also on hand to cheer on Feldstein, 28, in “Funny Girl.”
