FLINT, MI – Wielding a knife, a 65-year-old woman walked into a restaurant on Flint’s south side Sunday afternoon and stole a tip jar with an undetermined amount of money when staff did not give her free food, according to the Michigan State Police.
The woman, a Flint resident, was arrested shortly after the alleged armed robbery at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, April 24, which authorities said took place at Cantonese Gourmet South, 3205 S. Saginaw St.
She was lodged in the Genesee County Jail Sunday. She has not been identified because she has yet to be formally charged.
No injuries were reported. This incident is still under investigation.
