Presidio County Sheriff’s Office charged a man for human smuggling

PRESIDIO COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - According to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Pedro Porras, of Seagraves, Texas, early this morning after deputies discovered three illegal immigrants hidden in a compartment of a Ford flatbed pickup truck.

The driver was traveling on FM 170 West of Presidio when a Deputy made a traffic stop. The driver was behaving very suspicious and eluding questions.

Presidio County Sheriff Deputies escorted the driver and truck to the Presidio Port of Entry to use the x-ray machine where officials discovered three bodies in the bed of the truck.

The compartment was insulated and bolted under the gooseneck hitch. The illegal immigrants were referred to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.

Pedro Porras was charged with human smuggling by the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
