The Carroll Unviersity softball team fell to a CCIW opponenet twice in the same day for the first time this season, suffering back-to-back losses to No. 22 Millikin in Decatur, Illinois. 

GAME 1 | No. 22 Millikin 8, Carroll (WI) 0

DECATUR, Ill. --The Carroll Pioneers were not able to record a run against Millikin pitcher senior Armstrong on Saturday and were shut out 8-0 by the No. 22 Big Blue.

Junior Breanna Roberts (4-3) started and took the loss in the circle for Carroll (14-9, 6-3).

At the plate, the Pioneers were led by sophomore Madison Palasz, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double.

Senior Kaylee Learman led the way offensively for the Pioneers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame. Senior Madison Wagner put together a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-3. Sophomore Bridget Rath also contributed, going 2-for-3 for Carroll.
