Leicester City should assimilate their impending restructuring strictly on a needs must basis. The East Midlands-based Premier League outfit is self-aware of its limited attracting capabilities after a highly probable lower top half-finish.

Ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, the management needs to have an introspective look at problems existing in multiple facets. Every issue dissected in isolation deems for individual solutions. Finding many such isolated solutions is not practical.

It is, especially, unrealistic for a side that resides on a 50/50 chance of earning a berth in any of the available secondary or tertiary European competitions. So the focus should reside solely on managing the issue that concerned us the most, followed by managing the outgoings by bringing in suitors to assume their roles.

Today, we are delving into the problems that have been prevalent on more than one occasion this season. Yes, the very same fragility which exists in City’s defensive ranks. Many passionate fans might arrive at a conclusion that the issue exists because a lot of first-team defenders remained injured for the better part of the campaign. While that might be true (to some extent), it clearly doesn’t paint the whole grim picture.
