Vacant Sun Valley Commercial Building Burns Again

Sun Valley, Los Angeles, CA: A vacant commercial building burned again Friday afternoon in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley.

The Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters once again were battling a blaze in a commercial building on the 8200 block of North San Fernando Road around 3:13 p.m. Apr. 22, that had previously burned in the past more than once.

LAFD arrived on the scene to a one-story vacant building with fire showing. Firefighters fought the fire in offensive mode.

According to LAFD, 43 firefighters extinguished the fire in 20 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire was contained to the building of origin, and was prevented from extending to the attached businesses.

The cause of the fire is to be determined. There are no further details.
