One person was killed following a shooting in Miller County.

According to the GBI, on April 16 at around 10:24 PM, Colquitt police officers were monitoring the Black Mayhaw Festival in Colquitt when shots rang out from the crowd.

There were between 300 and 400 people in attendance at the time of the incident.

Antrayveous Benton was shot and later died after Colquitt Police transported him to the local hospital.

A 16-year-old boy was also shot and was released after undergoing surgery.

The GBI said the shooting is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
