Casualty legend Amanda Mealing has joined the BBC's revival of Waterloo Road, but not as an actress.
Amanda, who played Connie Beauchamp on Casualty, revealed on her Instagram that she will be directing on the new series of Waterloo Road, showing off her impressive-looking lanyard.
"Another city, another day, another dollar," she wrote in the caption, adding "#LoveMyWork".
Her former Casualty co-star Charles Venn commented: "Still i rise!! Congratulations Lexi Xx"

It's not Amanda's first time behind the camera, as she's previously directed episodes of Casualty and Coronation Street. The latter saw her reuniting with Jane Hazelgrove, who starred alongside her in the long-running medical drama.
Humorously, her time on the Cobbles was a bit chaotic due to the interference of none other than Queen Elizabeth II, who visited the set to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
"Having the Queen turn up in the middle of your shoot is a first. Her Majesty turned up one morning so I had to vacate the street and then I found it absolutely impossible to get anyone to focus in the afternoon," she said.
"So I blame the Queen for not getting my shot list finished that day. So she owes me one."
Quite a few Coronation Street stars have been cast in the new series of Waterloo Road. Kym Marsh will play Nicky Walters, a school canteen worker who is also a mother of two pupils.
Fellow Corrie stars Sonia Ibrahim and Rachel Leskovac will be playing Jamilah Omar, the school's social worker and Coral Walker, the head of English, respectively.
Ryan Clayton, who played evil Josh Tucker in Corrie, has also been cast as a semi-regular character named Mike.
Beyond that, Angela Griffin, Adam Thomas and Katie Griffiths are all coming back too.
Waterloo Road is expected to return to BBC One later this year.
