LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Forest native and former Liberty Flames and NFL star running back Rashad Jennings is adding another title to his list of accomplishments — music producer.

Jennings has put together and executive produced a nine track compilation album, called NevahLost Vol. 1. The hip hop album contains tracks produced by Jennings, along with several other Virginia artists who also are a part of the NevahLost gaming community.

Jennings released the album through his own media and gaming production company, NevahLost. Jennings said their is a special meaning to the name NevahLost.

“The reason why is because, I can’t lose, brother. Everything I do, I win. Legitimate, like, figuratively and literally, like, I win so much and so I can’t lose though, especially because God died on the cross for me and all of the biggest battles have already been won. You know, when I’m gone, I’m gone, and I know where I’m going, so I can’t lose, and so it’s an attitude as well, within the organization and the lifestyle and the brand of ‘NevahLost,'” said Jennings.

Over the last few months, Jennings combined his love for music and Esports gaming for a new project.

“Music is an element that allows people to connect. It’s a dialogue starter, and I want something to be positive to talk about around the table, and music has its way too just because of the beat. If the beat is nice, you’re going to move. You can’t help it. Just subconsciously, you start soaking in the lyrics,” said Jennings.

To celebrate the release of the project, Jennings will be in Lynchburg on Thursday, April 21 to host an album release listening party. It will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at La Haye Event Space on the Liberty University campus.
