Former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn has responded to the most recent reference of her character Sinead Tinker on the show.
McGlynn tweeted her thoughts when her on-screen widower Daniel Osbourne confessed to his current girlfriend Daisy that he used to pay Nicky to dress up as his deceased wife Sinead as he struggled with grief.
Retweeting a clip of the confrontation between Daniel and Daisy, McGlynn added: "I mean, who could blame him?"

McGlynn played Sinead Tinker for nearly seven years on the soap, before her character died of cancer in a heartbreaking storyline.
The aftermath of Sinead's death saw Daniel widowed with a young son, struggling to come to terms with the loss of his wife.
His desperation would lead him to become increasingly reliant on Nicky, paying her to dress up in his late wife's clothes. Daniel would later grow close to Nicky and enter into a relationship with her.
The events have resurfaced after Wednesday's (April 20) episode saw a jealous Daisy uncover Daniel's past with Nicky after she returned to the cobbles.

Recently aired scenes showed Daisy attempting to set Nicky, now a teaching assistant at Daniel's school, up on a blind date. Her plan backfired when she chose Nicky's ex Ashley, who knew her from her days as a sex worker, leading to an awkward situation.
After an explosive confrontation with Daniel, Daisy gave him an ultimatum to either cut off contact with Nicky or she'll leave him.
Nicky's past is also at risk of being exposed as Max overheard the couple's argument and Googled Nicky's former alias 'Tiffany Blue Knights'.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
