PC Telcom notes growth and evolution to broadband

Phillips County Telephone Company dba PC Telcom’s annual meeting took place Thursday, April 7, at Holyoke JR/SR High School. PC Telcom provided a meal served by Happy Jacks Barbeque and gave an update on the past year.

President Terry Andersen thanked the membership for their attendance and their loyalty to the company.

The director election results were provided with one urban and one rural position up for reelection. The rural director’s seat held by incumbent Glenn Huwa was contested by Steve Young, and Huwa was elected to fill the seat. The urban director’s seat held by incumbent John Schneider was uncontested and was retained by Schneider.

Jessica Koch, PC Telcom controller, provided a review of the income statement and balance sheet for the year ending Dec. 31, 2021. PC Telcom continued to show strong financial performance in 2021. PC Telcom had an increase in memberships in 2021 due to increased broadband demand in both the business and residential sectors.
