Pirates farm report for April 19, 2022: Sam Howard, Anthony Alford rehabbing with Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 6-6) was doubled up by Columbus (Guardians), 4-2. LHP Sam Howard (0-1, 5.40), rehabbing a back injury, started and gave up a run on one hit and one walk in 1.2 innings. RHP Chase De Jong (2.08) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk in two innings. C Jason Delay (.143) went 2 for 3 to record half of Indy’s four hits. SS Oneil Cruz (.194) went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts, a stolen base and an RBI groundout. CF Travis Swaggerty went 1 for 4 with a walk and a stolen base. LF Anthony Alford (.000), rehabbing a hand injury, went 0 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 3-6) and New Hampshire (Blue Jays) were snowed out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader starting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 4-6) was knocked off by Aberdeen (Orioles), 8-6. RHP Sean Sullivan (2.70) started and allowed three runs on three hits, including two homers, in 3.2 innings. RHP Wandi Montout (0-1, 9.53) gave up four runs on two hits and three walks in an inning and took the loss. 1B Matt Gorski (.300) went 3 for 4 with a three-run homer, his third, and a stolen base. C Henry Davis (.294) went 2 for 3. RF Sammy Siani (.313) and LF Endy Rodriguez (.310) went 2 for 5.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 7-3) was four-hit by Daytona (Reds) and lost, 3-0. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.517) went 1 for 4 with a double. RHP Carlos Jimenez (0-1, 1.93) started and took the loss, giving up two unearned runs on four hits in 1.2 innings. LHP Jake Sweeney (2.84) worked 3.1 scoreless innings of relief.
