Multi-award-winning gospel artist Jekalyn Carr will headline this year's Harambee Festival along with Atlanta hip hop and rap artist, K Camp.
This year, the popular community festival is moving to the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium and has increased the number of food trucks, live music performances, bounce houses, and vendors available for non-stop shopping.
The Talent Showcase kicks off the festival and will feature competitive performances by up-and-coming artists in various performance categories including hip-hop, dancing, poetry, and more on Friday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
In addition to the national and local headliners, the 33rd Annual Harambee Festival’s will feature the award-winning Benedict College Gospel Choir, the Marching Band of Distinction, and Aunt Pearlie Sue and the Gullah Kinfolk Traveling Theater on Saturday, April 23rd at9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased online at Benedict.edu, or in-person at the College’s bookstore from 10:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at 2300 Haskell Street.
Tickets may also be purchased in-person on April 22 and 23 at the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium, located at 2047 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204.
