The popular "420 Hippie Hill" event at Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park kicks off April 20 at 10 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. The festival is free to attend, however anyone under the age of 21 will not be allowed at the facility.

"This event will have food, entertainment and for the first time because of changes to our local and state laws, there will be on-site cannabis sales," San Francisco Mayor London Breed said at a press conference on Monday.

The entertainment is highlighted by memorials to late comedians Robin Williams and Bob Saget, stand-up sets by popular comics Jeffrey Ross, Hannibal Burress and former boxer Mike Tyson.

In the past, the celebration has been problematic for the neighborhoods surrounding Golden Gate Park due to both traffic congestion and crowd issues.

The city hopes to alleviate some of those problems this year, both by adding extra buses and trains throughout the day to increase transportation access, as well as extra parking enforcement to prevent blocked driveways. In addition, the San Francisco Police and sheriff's departments are planning to have an increased presence around the event.

"We're going to do everything we can to make sure this experience is not as problematic," Breed explained.

"We want to make sure that this city is able to host this just like any other city event."
