Governor DeSantis spoke at a news conference in Dixie County on Friday.

The news conference, held at the Dixie County Emergency Management in Cross City, was to announce infrastructure improvements in Dixie County.

During the news conference, Governor DeSantis took the chance to blast President Biden about the economy and inflation.

"They calculate inflation they say 8.5 percent, which is a lot, but almost everything that matters is much higher than that," said DeSantis.

DeSantis also said President Biden was warned by both conservative and liberal experts about his economic policies.

"You had a lot of people who were liberal economists who told him 'do not do this,' and now people are acknowledging that those were some of the worst mistakes that presidents have made in the modern history of our country," said DeSantis.

DeSantis called Florida "the number one state" fighting back against Biden's policies.
