Wednesday's storms produced at least five tornadoes, one of which was an EF2, according to the National Weather Service. An NWS damage survey team said the EF2 tornado was confirmed in northern Clarke County. The tornado was also associated with damage in northern Jasper and southern Lauderdale counties. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said 24 counties have reported damage from the storms, but that number is expected to grow. The state was still recovering from the previous three storms in as many weeks when the fourth system hit Wednesday, spawning tornadoes, hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. Thousands were without power across the state. "When I turned on Northside Drive and turned across — you now, down on this end — I was like, 'Well, lights out again,'" said Jackson resident Doyle Lilly. "It seems like it happens every week. But, like I said, they normally get them on pretty quick."Crews have been out clearing trees and repairing downed power lines since the storm. Lightning created the majority of the damage, according to Entergy.
