Darren Criss and his wife, Mia Swier, welcomed their first child on Monday.
“M & D made some sweet music,” the “Glee” alum, 35, captioned the announcement, which he made Thursday on Instagram.
“🎶 Bluesy Belle Criss 🎶,” he added along with her birthdate. “💙 Out now. 💙”
The photo showed the happy couple sitting next to each other on a hospital bed, looking down at their newborn baby as they held her in their arms. Bluesy was swaddled in a pink-and-blue blanket and had a big pink bow on her head.
The proud dad first revealed he and his wife were expecting in October with an on-theme video showing the pair listening to the sounds of their unborn child’s heartbeat in a recording studio.
“We’ve been making music for years,” Criss captioned the clip. “… But this time we made a BEAT. The ultimate collab droppin Spring 2022.”
After almost a decade together, Criss and Swier, 36, got married in February 2019 in New Orleans in front of family, friends and several of the groom’s former “Glee” co-stars, including Lea Michele, Harry Shum Jr. and Chord Overstreet.
While Criss has spent much of his career in the limelight, Swier prefers to shine behind the scenes.
According to her IMDb page, she’s a writer/producer who’s directed promotional content and campaigns for shows like “Glee,” “Scream Queens,” “The Mindy Project” and “New Girl.”
She’s also a freelance director with many short films and music videos under her belt, including Keke Palmer’s debut single for “I Don’t Belong to You.”
On the side, the new mom is a singer and bassist who’s been in her fair share of rock bands, including Shoot the Freak, Guns n’ Hoses and Mad Moon Riot.
