NWS confirms EF-2 in Clarke County, Lauderdale assessment delayed

An EF-2 tornado was confirmed in Clarke County. The assessment of Lauderdale County was delayed. It’s at least an EF-2 but could possibly have strengthened coming into Lauderdale County.(WTOK)

JACKSON, Miss. (WTOK) - The National Weather Service began damage surveys Thursday in portions of east and central Mississippi. An EF-2 tornado was confirmed in Clarke County. The assessment of Lauderdale County was delayed. It’s at least an EF-2 but could possibly have strengthened coming into Lauderdale County. Other assessments were being done for Neshoba, Winston, Jasper, Leake and Noxubee counties for severe thunderstorms that moved through the state Wednesday.
