Great news, Michael McIntyre fans! The comedian and TV presenter is heading back to our screens with not one, but two of his classic shows.

This week, the Beeb confirmed that the stand-up favourite will be bringing back both Michael McIntyre's Big Show and The Wheel to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Filmed in front of a live audience at the Theatre Royal in London, the Big Show features all sorts of japes and celebrity escapades, including the 'Send to All' segment, where Michael sends embarrassing texts to a star's contact list.

There'll also be the return of the 'Celebrity Midnight Gameshow', where unsuspecting famous faces are rudely awoken from their sleep, and the 'Unexpected Star of the Show'.

As well as Michael McIntyre's Big Show, the comedian will be a busy bee fronting the third series of The Wheel, which will air some time this year.

The latest 12-part series will bring back the giant spinning wheel (yes, the name is literal) and a host of celebrities, as they try to win contestants a life-changing wad of cash.

"Three long years of no Unexpected Stars, of me not getting my hands on a single celebrity's mobile phone, of people sleeping soundly without fear of me sneaking into their bedrooms," McIntyre said in a statement. "Well, the wait is over."

He added: "The Big Show is back and we've used those three years to think of even bigger surprises and bigger laughs... The Wheel is spinning back too! I'm elated that both shows are so beloved and returning to BBC One."

Producer Dan Baldwin promised viewers a "real treat" with the Big Show's return. "We can't wait to bring two of the nation's favourite Saturday night shows back to BBC One," Baldwin said.

"If you've missed seeing Gino D'Acampo in his pants at midnight, a firefighter singing opera or Jamie Oliver texting everyone in his phone that he loves chicken nuggets, then you're in for a real treat."

A return date for Michael McIntyre's Big Show is yet to be announced. The Wheel will return later this year on BBC One.
