The NBA has suspended Denver Nuggets guard Facundo Campazzo for Saturday’s Game 1 of the first round against the Warriors after he shoved Los Angeles Lakers guard Wayne Ellington in the back in the regular season finale. The league also fined Campazzo $20,000 for his transgression.

After the game, Ellington tweeted that he would “put hands” on Campazzo the next time he sees him.

Campazzo is known as a pesky defender but this play looked outright dirty. He averaged 5.1 points and 3.4 assists in 18.2 minutes per game off the bench for the Nuggets this year.

Campazzo has also tried to get under the skin of Steph Curry in the past and it backfired, like last April at Chase Center when Curry popped off for 32 points.

Steph practiced with the Warriors Wednesday and is expected to scrimmage with his teammates Thursday. If all goes well, Curry could return on for Saturday’s Game 1, which would be exactly one month since he sprained his left foot after Marcus Smart rolled him up going for a loose ball.
