FLOODING, STRONG WIND GUSTS, AND MAYBE LARGE HAIL. THAT CANNOT BE ROLLED OUT. WITH FLOODING BEING THE BIGGEST IMPACT, IT WILL AFFECT THE MOST OF US, THERE IS THE FLOOD WATCH IN PLACE ALL OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA THROUGH THE MORNING. IT LINES UP WITH THE LEFTOVER STORMS BUT BY 8:00, TANGIPAHOA, WASHINGTON, YOU COULD HAVE THE BEGIINGNN OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. THERE’S A CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED STORM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY, THAT FORECAST DID NOT SHOW MU.CH WE GET INTO SUNDAY, SUNDAY MORNING, SATURDAY EVENING, CHANCES OF STORMS SHOWN. A line of strong storms are pushing through our area tonight. The good news is these storms aren't reaching severe criteria, and our severe weather threat seems to be winding down. However, we can't let our guard down yet. There is a tornado watch in effect until midnight. Impacts: Our main concern is flooding. A flood watch is in effect now through 10 a.m. for all of southeast Louisiana. There is also a low risk of damaging wind (58+ mph) and hail. There is a very low, but non-zero, threat of brief, spin-up tornadoes.Timing: The storms are pushing through the Northshore now. They will arrive to the Metro around 11 p.m. It will then push southeast into Belle Chasse around 11:30 p.m. and Galliano around midnight. It will push through the Boothville and Grand Isle areas around 2 a.m.More rain will hang around into Thursday, but we don't expect it to be severe.Action: Come up with your severe weather plan now. Where will you go if a warning is issued? It must be an interior room on the lowest floor of the building. You must be able to get there quickly, even in the middle of the night. You also must have multiple, reliable ways of receiving weather alerts, and those must be ways that can wake you up in the middle of the night.
