Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts signed a historic tax relief bill into law Wednesday at the state capitol.The bill cuts $900 million in taxes, slashing individual and corporate income tax rates to 5.84% in five years. It also boosts the property tax credit fund and eliminates the tax on social security income in three years.While signing the bill, Ricketts called the process a team effort."All success involves teamwork, hard work and tenacity. And this historic tax relief bill today that I'm about to sign involves all that," Ricketts said.The tax cut bill passed unanimously in the Legislature earlier this session.

Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts signed a historic tax relief bill into law Wednesday at the state capitol.
The bill cuts $900 million in taxes, slashing individual and corporate income tax rates to 5.84% in five years. It also boosts the property tax credit fund and eliminates the tax on social security income in three years.

While signing the bill, Ricketts called the process a team effort.
"All success involves teamwork, hard work and tenacity. And this historic tax relief bill today that I'm about to sign involves all that," Ricketts said.
The tax cut bill passed unanimously in the Legislature earlier this session.
