HARTFORD, CONN (April 12, 2022) – Today, Mayor Luke Bronin and Senator Richard Blumenthal joined Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI), a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, to cut the ribbon on LTI’s new engagement center, located at 1 American Row in downtown Hartford. The engagement center will comprise 13,000 square feet and will support up to 300 employees working on a hybrid basis.

LTI chose Hartford as one of its expansion locations because of its relationships with companies in the area and potential for growth in the insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing industries, the City’s existing technology infrastructure, and its educational institutions. LTI is actively building relationships and a talent pipeline for graduates of local universities, including the University of Connecticut, St. Joseph’s University, and Central Connecticut State University.

“We are excited to welcome LTI, a significant player in the global infotech sector, to the City of Hartford,” said Mayor Bronin. “This new LTI engagement center is powerful addition to the rapidly-growing tech ecosystem in the City of Hartford.  LTI has committed to building partnerships and investing in the Hartford community and the Greater Hartford region, and we look forward to working closely with LTI to help build a talent pipeline in partnership with our educational institutions.”

“Hartford is an incredible hub for employment opportunities due to its access to some of the best educational institutions,” said Sanjay Jalona, CEO & Managing Director of LTI. “LTI’s engagement center in the city will help us create a cohesive network and provide strategic support to local clients and staff. This center further strengthens LTI’s service capabilities in the US while establishing a strong foothold in the market.”

LTI, headquartered in Mumbai, India, has an annual revenue of almost $2 billion. It is ranked among the top 20 global IT service companies. LTI’s clients in Connecticut represent sectors as diverse as Banking and Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing, Utilities, Life Sciences, and Aerospace & Defense. The company has seven offices across the USA and counts more than 70 Fortune 500 companies as its clients.
