Wheeler's absence will extend to three games due to an upper-body injury. Despite missing 16 contests this season, the 35-year-old has still managed to total 12 goals and 42 assists, the latter of which placing him in a tie for sixth among all right wingers across the NHL. The Jets front office hope he can return Wednesday against Seattle, as the veteran coupled one goal with an assist in the previous matchup.
