Mayfield is starting at third base and hitting fourth Sunday against the Astros, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Mayfield has appeared in two games this season, though Sunday's start will be his first of the campaign. He'll immediately slot into a prominent spot in the order, directly following Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout and Jared Walsh.
