Bellows was a healthy scratch for the fifth straight game as the Islanders lost to the Blues 6-1 on Saturday.
Bellows was expected to play Saturday as the Islanders needed an extra forward with Casey Cizikas serving a one-game suspension. However, the Islanders instead elected to recall Andy Andreoff from the AHL for that spot. This was likely because coach Barry Trotz preferred to use a center rather than a wing to fill in for the suspended pivot. Bellows' next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Penguins.
