Carey (hip) recorded one point (1-2 FT) in seven minutes off the bench Friday in the Wizards' 114-92 loss to the Knicks.

Even with Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and Kyle Kuzma (knee) sitting out, Carey couldn't capture a major role out of the Washington frontcourt Friday. Before his seven-minute cameo against the Knicks, Carey had been sidelined since the beginning of March with a right hip contusion, so it's possible he sees an uptick in playing time Sunday against the Hornets in the season finale for both teams. Even if that's the case, Carey will still likely operate as the third-string center behind Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant.
