Hydro-Eakly softball beats Hammon, 7-5

HAMMON — Hydro-Eakly softball won 7-5 at Hammon Monday.

Hydro-Eakly scored a run in the top of the first inning when Tessa York hit a home run above the center field fence.

Hydro-Eakly scored two runs in the top of the third inning. Rees Berkey hit a home run above center field fence and York scored.

Hammon scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Lady Warriors hit a three-run home run.

Hydro-Eakly answered with two runs in the top of the fifth inning. Kira Berkey recorded an RBI single when she hit the ball to left field and Rees Berkey scored. Dillyn Coe recorded an RBI single when she hit the ball to right field and York scored.

Hammon tied the game, 5-5, in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Lady Warriors hit a two-run home run.

Hydro-Eakly scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning when Rees Berkey hit a home run above the center field fence. Coe recorded an RBI single when she hit the ball to center field and York scored. This run scored by York was her fourth run scored of the game.

The Lady Bobcats got all three outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and won the game 7-5.
