‘Cobra Kai’ star Peyton List says dating Jacob Bertrand is ‘so fun’

Johnny Lawrence was right – kicks do get chicks.

“Cobra Kai” star Peyton List gushed about striking up a romance with co-star Jacob Bertrand while speaking to Page Six at the show’s PaleyFest event in Los Angeles on Friday.

“It’s been so fun. I feel like we’re all best friends and getting to have, like, a person that I really love in the same city – I’m just so grateful for him,” the actress told us of her new beau.

“He’s the nicest person. But it is weird [on set], because I feel like we’re with everyone but each other on the show.”

List, 24, and Bertrand, 22, play Tory Nichols and Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz, respectively, on Netflix’s hit martial arts comedy-drama series.

While they’ve shared several scenes together over the years, their fan-favorite characters are currently training at separate dojos – and are not romantically linked onscreen.

Naturally, fans went wild last month after news broke that List and Bertrand were a couple in real life and have been dating “for a while.”

“We came out of the airport recently and we were like, ‘Oh, OK. I guess we have to tell people now that we’re dating,’” List told us, of being spotted with Bertrand at the Los Angeles International Airport on March 22.

“We were just waiting and then it was like, well, the world decided for us I guess!”

Mary Mouser – who portrays Tory’s rival, Samantha LaRusso, on the show – also spoke to Page Six about List and Bertrand’s blossoming romance.

“Peyton’s the coolest human ever, she’s so genuinely sweet,” Mouser, 25, said of her longtime pal. “I think what’s funny is that we’ve all bonded so much, and they were obviously already friends coming into the show … but, yeah, I’m here for whatever keeps my castmates happy!”

Fellow co-star Gianni DeCenzo – who plays Demetri and is close friends with Bertrand – also weighed in, telling us, “I think they are adorable!”

“I’m a little jealous, I wish Jacob would take me out to eat,” the actor, 20, joked. “But no, I think they’re an awesome couple. I’m so happy for them.”

A release date for Season 5 has yet to be announced, but List teased that it will take place “where we left off with the All Valley Tournament.” Tory was named champion and dubbed “Queen Cobra” by her peers, only to discover minutes later that it was all a set up by Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith).

“So it’s just her coming to terms with that and kinda having to face that,” List explained. “She’s dealing with this, like, ‘Is this real? Do I deserve this? Am I the real victor? Who am I anymore if it’s not that?’ That was her whole identity.”

Seasons 1 through 4 of “Cobra Kai” are streaming now on Netflix.
