Troy Davis homered, doubled and finished with three RBI as Pittston Area defeated Crestwood 7-3 Friday in Wyoming Valley Conference baseball.
Davis also singled to finish a triple shy of the cycle.
Leadoff hitter Jeremy Cawley was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Drew DeLuca had two RBI. Starter TJ Johnson limited Crestwood to a first-inning run over six innings.
Joe Moritori doubled, singled and had an RBI for Crestwood. Chaz Wright tripled and had an RBI. Ryan Covelens doubled and drove in a run.
North Pocono 11, Holy Redeemer 1
Cole Whitman and Luke Kopec had the only hits for Holy Redeemer in its loss at PNC Field.
Whitman also had his team’s only RBI.
DJ Silvestrini tripled, doubled and knocked in five runs for North Pocono.
Nanticoke Area 4, Honesdale 1
Nanticoke Area received all of it production from the top of the order and three pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Trojans defeated Honesdale.
Leadoff hitter Ethan Egenski was 2-f0r-3 with two runs scored. Nick Matson was 3-for-3 with a double and run scored. Justin Spencer had an RBI and scored a run.
Reliever Caleb Butzczynski pitched 2.2 innings to pick up the win. Matson started and allowed one hit and fanned three over 3.2 innings.
Hazleton Area 10, Tunkhannock 0 (5 inn.)
Grant Russo drove in three runs, Bryce Molinaro had two more and Kyle Peters homered as Hazleton Area ended the game due to the 10-run rule.
Brett Antolick was 3-for-4 and pitched two innings of no-hit ball. Reliever Josh Halcisak finished up with six strikeouts and allowed one hit over three innings.
Aiden Paddock had a double for Tunkhannock’s only hit.
SOFTBALL
Tunkhannock 8, Hazleton Area 2
Kaya Hannon was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI to pace the Tunkhannock offense.
Gabby Wood finished 3-f0r-4 and Hannah James had a pair of singles for the Tigers.
Lauren Daniels and Ashley Seiwell each were 2-for-3 with a double for Hazleton Area. Daniels and Alyson Mummey each had an RBI.
Nanticoke Area 15, Wilkes-Barre Area 5
Haylee Shotwell went 5-for-5 for Nanticoke Area in its win over the Wolfpack.
Shaylee Heffron went 3-for-3, Ali Keener went 3-for-4 and Lilli Nice went 2-for-3 and picked up the win in the circle.
