MLB fans have a great reason to celebrate this week: Baseball is back! After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, plus that stressful lockout, now we can all sit back and enjoy the games from the comfort of our couches.

This year, there is a new way to stream your favorite games. In an exclusive deal with MLB, Apple TV+ will begin streaming some major games, with a twist. The streaming service will air double header games solely on Friday nights. And, it will be the only place you can stream these games, as they won’t be shown anywhere else, regional channels included.

The schedule for the next two weeks will have fans cheering on the Mets and the Nationals as well as the Angels versus the Astros, and like we said, these games will only show on Apple TV+ live. If you’re a fan, it’s definitely worth investing in Apple TV+ so you can catch these double header games. You can find the season schedule on the Apple website.

HOW TO WATCH THE METS ON APPLE TV

First things first. It’s free! Baseball fans will have the ability to stream marquee games on Friday nights, free from local broadcast restrictions, across devices where Apple TV+ can be found – and that includes tonight’s matchup between the Mets and the Nationals. More on that below.

You can watch Friday Night Baseball on the Apple TV app, select smart TVs, gaming consoles, and cable set-top boxes, and on your browser at TV.apple.com. If you want to watch anything other than baseball on Apple TV+, though, you’ll have to sign-up for the seven-day free trial for new subscribers. (It costs $4.99/month after that.)

One thing to note: Android users cannot gain access to the Apple TV+ app on their phones. In order to watch the games, you’ll have to use a device that is Apple-compatible, such as your smart TV or your Apple MacBook.
