WASHINGTON (KYMA, KECY) - Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) is co-sponsoring a resolution to honor local civil rights leader César Chávez.

“César Chávez began his legacy of service in Yuma and spent his life championing everyday families and fighting for worker’s rights across the United States. Our resolution celebrates his incredible accomplishments,” expressed Sen. Sinema.

The resolution would mark March 31 as "César Chávez Day" to honor his legacy.
