Recently-hatched eaglets at Radnor Lake State Park have been making subtle appearances in their nest.

Video from Tennessee State Parks shows the nearly three-week-old eaglets pop their heads in and out of the nest on April 5. Wildlife officials have been closely monitoring the eagles.

Steve Ward with the parks department tells FOX 17 News cameras can't be installed too close to the nest since it could cause the mother and babies to abandon it. Ward adds there's a 50% chance of mortality rate on a new nest.

"We are keeping that in mind and hoping for the best," Ward said.

Radnor Lake is a 1,368-acre park in Middle Tennessee and is protected as a Class II Natural Area. It's unique to Tennessee and perfect for nature enthusiasts to observe the natural ecological diversity of the area.
