Seattle Mariners, SS J.P. Crawford reach five-year contract; sources say deal worth $51M

Superutilityman Dylan Moore and the Mariners agreed on a three-year, $8.875 million contract extension Wednesday, sources told ESPN, keeping the multiposition sparkplug in the city where he broke into the big leagues.

Miami's Luis Arraez, who had an AL-leading .316 batting average for the Twins in 2022, won his arbitration case and will get a raise from $2.2 million to $6.1 million.

Scott Servais expressed concern Wednesday for Mariners playing in the World Baseball Classic, saying "these guys are playing at such a high intensity level when they haven't been doing that for a number of months, so you're always worried about injury."
