Nieto helped out on a Nick Bonino tally in the first period. The assist ended Nieto's six-game point drought, though he also missed five contests with an undisclosed injury in that span. The winger is up to 13 points, 61 shots on net, 83 hits and a minus-20 rating through 58 outings. He'll continue to serve in a mainly defensive role on the third line, which makes it unlikely the 29-year-old puts up much offense.
